DevSecOps position at Momoyoga. Help us build and maintain the most stable online yogi platform.
At Momoyoga, we are a small team, but we have big dreams. Our mission? To create a home for every yoga teacher by making the best management software for yoga professionals worldwide. With this, we need your assistance. We are searching for the right person to join us in our quest to serve the global yoga community.
Momoyoga started in the Netherlands. In 2016, we opened our doors to yoga studios worldwide. Since then, more than 1.000.000 yogis have booked over 10 million yoga classes in all countries imaginable.
We are a creative and product-customer-minded team. We are ambitious, though modest. Valuing the individual behind every team member. We want to build a great product and create a great working environment where we enjoy working together and grow the company at the same time.
What is the challenge? 🚀
Momoyoga has been one of the most stable yoga platforms on the market today. Built using the technologies that our developers love, and that service our customers in the best way possible.
Evolving this technology stack, expanding it where our customers, developers and other team members need it, will be your primary goal. We think this is a dedicated position in our team, because we believe that the best technology can build the best platform. We need the best people to keep it running great, and to keep our developers as happy as they should be.
Momoyoga has a leading position in some European countries, though there is still a lot of growth potential. This means that requirements change over time, and that we need to expand our technological presence in other geographical areas as well. Scalability is a big factor here, but also reliability and availability.
That's why we are looking for a DevSecOps Specialist to join the Momoyoga team. The challenge, in short: Help us grow by making our technology stack grow with us!.
What am I going to do? 🤔
- You will set the path to evolve our existing cloud architecture for the future.
- You will maintain the current cloud-based hosting setup, and improve it where you see fit, in the broadest way thinkable.
- You will work together with our product team to offer them the best development and continuous integration environment possible.
- You will also work together with our customer success team to identify other areas where DevOps might improve their daily work.
- You will ensure that our platform conforms to the security standards set by us, and which our customers demand for them to use our platform safely and securely.
- You will mitigate risks in deployments, and set up preventative maintenance and security measures.
- You will develop tools and utilities that aid you or the rest of the team in their work.
- You will improve our own company admin/CRM that powers the information backend of Momoyoga.
- You’ll have the opportunity to invest in your own knowledge with meetups and conferences.
Who do I work together with? 👩💻🧑🏻💻
You will join the team as the first full-time DevSecOps specialist, and will work together closely with our CTO who is now largely responsible for most of the work involved in this position. Next, you will collaborate closely with the Product team and be in direct contact with the Customer Success team. As Momoyoga still is relatively small, you’ll work with everyone. Many of the weekly and monthly events are all-team gatherings. You will learn from everyone in the company.
What skills do I need? 📋
We are looking for a candidate who has a clear vision of how our platform’s cloud architecture should look.
- You have knowledge in any of the large cloud platforms, like Azure, AWS or GCS.
- Someone who thinks and breathes in containers, Kubernetes, Helm, Prometheus, and other services that comprise a modern cloud application platform.
- Someone familiar with SaaS platforms in general, and an opinion on how they should be hosted technically.
- Someone with an affinity for programming, as a pre in PHP and the Symfony framework, to support development of our administration tools.
- Someone who is proactive and picks up work as it appears.
- Someone who feels responsible for our cloud architecture and everything around it.
- Someone who feels our development team and wants to work with them and offer them the best environment to work in.
- Someone who can work independently and solve problems by themselves when necessary.
- Someone who is a team player, and understands the wishes and needs of other team members.
- Someone who is hands-on. You are neither shy nor too proud to do the dirty work.
- Someone who is fluent in both spoken and written English.
- Someone who is communicative, doesn’t shy away, but is an active part of the team.
- Someone who is flexible and can handle ‘change’ being our daily business.
- Someone who can manage to organize their own time, having a lot of freedom, but takes responsibility accordingly.
- Someone who is productive and can work towards measurable goals.
Is this role only full-time? Can I work remotely?
The role has a flexible amount of hours to fill in, between 24 and 40 hours. This can be adjusted over time when the needs from any of both ends change.
It can be based on-site in Tilburg (the Netherlands) or from home. Because we're a relatively small, tight-knit team, working all in one place some of the time helps us go faster and solve complex problems together. This means we’d like you to be able to come to the office regularly if the occasion calls for it. Starting or ending projects together, celebrating milestones with a drink... We feel this is part of our company culture, and really helps us increase the joy of working on Momoyoga together.
For this reason, we’re primarily looking for someone who lives within a radius of 100km from Tilburg.
What am I going to get? 🙏
In addition to a good salary and a healthy lunch when in the office, you also get:
- MacBook Pro (available for private use too) and other needed tech gear
- Travel costs
- Flexible holiday leave
- Flexible remote working
